Land is fundamental to any society developing a solid foundation in culture, economics and science. The quality of the land and limitations play a major part in how societies develop. There has to be the right mixture of resources in challenges to stimulate growth. An overly rich land will produce unmotivated people. A resource poor land will produced a mentally impoverished people.
